Our Story

From Our Family to Yours

NurtureNeurodiverse was born from a mother's love, a family's search for answers, and a breakthrough that changed everything. We exist to share that breakthrough with you.

Our Story

A Mother's Search for Her Son's Voice

Pooja Dipanker and her husband are the parents of a 12-year-old non-speaking son with autism. Like so many families, they spent years searching — trying every available therapy and intervention, holding on to hope while navigating a world that too often underestimated their son.

Then they found RPM — the Rapid Prompting Method. She brought her son to different RPM-certified trainers to experience the method firsthand. After seeing the initial success, Pooja trained with Soma Mukhopadhyay at HALO, the organization where RPM was developed and got certified.

What happened next changed their family forever.

The Breakthrough

“For the first time, our son began communicating — pointing to letters, spelling out words, making himself known to us in a way we had always believed was possible but never knew how to reach.”

Using an RPM letterboard, their son communicated for the first time. It was a life-changing milestone — not just for him, but for the entire family. Twelve years of wondering what was inside his mind, and finally, a way through.

Pooja's Mission

From Parent to Certified RPM Practitioner

Pooja's journey began with a simple but powerful conviction — that the only way to truly help her son and others like him was to walk alongside them, learn from them, and advocate for them. She dedicated years of her life to working in schools, home programs, centers, and daycares as a Registered Behavior Technician, building deep experience across a wide spectrum of ages and needs.

That journey led her to where she is today: a Child Development Specialist with the New Jersey Early Intervention System (NJEIS) practicing DIR/Floortime. She is also working as a passionate RPM practitioner committed to unlocking communication and potential in individuals of all abilities and ages.

She founded Nurture Neurodiverse with a singular purpose: to give other families the same hope, the same tools, and the same breakthrough that her family experienced. She brings to every session not just professional training, but the deep empathy of someone who has sat exactly where the families she serves are sitting.

What Drives Us

Why Nurture Neurodiverse

This work is personal. Every value we hold and every choice we make is rooted in the real experience of a family just like yours.

Led by Lived Experience

Pooja is not just a practitioner — she is a mother who has walked this road. That experience shapes every session and every relationship with families.

Presumed Competence

We believe every non-verbal individual is intelligent and capable of learning. Our job is simply to build the bridge.

Family at the Center

Families are partners in this journey, not bystanders. Everything we do is in service of the whole family unit.

Every Voice Matters

Non-verbal does not mean nothing to say. RPM gives individuals the tools to express what they have always known.

Your Family's Breakthrough Could Be Next

Pooja knows what it feels like to search for answers and not find them — and she knows what it feels like when everything changes. If you have a non-verbal child and are looking for a path forward, we would love to connect with you.
